love this so much. it’s a great critique of the times we live in and one can just feel the frustration towards this new flawed philosophy. loved how you also mixed with a bit of introspection and existential thoughts, it gives the poem a deliberately authentic, personal touch. this is pure excellence <33

The Plato turn is the best part of this for me, granting him the wall wasn’t the world but then pushing back with a real question instead of just accepting the metaphor.

That’s the whole poem’s move actually, taking inherited frameworks and refusing to let them fully explain the mess we’re actually in.

The line about unwrapping slower than they’d like is doing a lot of work too, it’s not resistance for its own sake, it’s just refusing someone else’s timeline for your own becoming
